Meet the KOT Team
Our Directors bring their vast experience to students
This is Mrs. Chesser's 20th year in Klein ISD. She is so excited to join the world of High School Theatre. She is proud graduate of University of Houston Drama where she studied under Cecil Pickett and Sydney Berger. She worked 8 seasons with Theatre Under The Stars which led to the original cast of Kopit and Yeston's Phantom, the National Tour of Mame with Juliet Prowse(where she earned her Equity card) and a European Tour of Evita before she decided to pursue teaching full time. Her favorite roles these days are wife, mom & teacher. When she is not at school, she loves to travel.
A native Texan, Mr. Garrett received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston. He is in his sixth year here at Klein Oak High School and has been teaching for 16 years. He has designed and directed plays at theatres throughout the Houston area. Mr. Garrett is also a proud parent of two exceptional children.
Ms. Garza graduated with a degree in Theatre Studies from Montclair State University and obtained her teaching certificate through Texas Teachers upon moving to Texas. Prior to finding her home at Klein Oak, she worked at Krimmel Intermediate, also in Klein ISD. Her favorite experience here at Oak has been working on the musical, Big Fish! When she is not teaching or directing, she loves hanging out with a good book and her cat, practicing yoga, attending the Texas Renaissance Festival with her husband, and Halloween décor hunting with a Baja Blast in hand.
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
